Lathisms Featured Mathematician (2021)
I was honored to be featured by Lathisms : Latinxs and Hispanics in the Mathematical Sciences in 2021. Founded in 2016, Lathisms showcases the contributions of Latinx and Hispanic mathematicians during Hispanic Heritage Month through an accessible platform highlighting outstanding research, teaching, mentoring, and service. The 2021 cohort specifically featured Latinx and Hispanic mathematicians contributing to business, industry, and governmental agencies.
Association for Women in Mathematics EvenQuads (Deck2)
I was selected to be featured in the Association for Women in Mathematics EvenQuads Deck 2 . These unique decks of cards honor notable women mathematicians and can be used to play mathematical games. When complete, the series will include four decks highlighting 256 women, celebrating women's contributions to mathematics in commemoration of AWM's 50th anniversary.
NIST AI Red Teaming Challenge Winner (2024)
I was selected as one of the winners in the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) nationwide AI Red Teaming Challenge. The competition was a collaboration between Humane Intelligence and NIST's ARIA Program. After qualifying through a virtual event, I participated in the in-person red teaming challenge in Washington, DC at CAMLIS 2024. The event used NIST's "Artificial Intelligence Risk Management Framework: Generative Artificial Intelligence Profile (NIST AI 600-1)" as the operative rubric for evaluating violative outcomes and controls.
